Biography
Maha Waheed graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2023 with a B.S. in Nutrition Science and a minor in Public Health. Between 2020 to 2023 Maha was an intern in the UC Davis Foods for Health Institute (FFHI) Mentorship Program. In this role, Maha gained experience assisting in clinical trial execution from recruiting and enrolling participants as a research assistant, managing data, and gaining experience in the clinical research setting. Maha was an undergraduate volunteer at a student run clinic at UC Davis where she worked with disadvantaged and uninsured communities. She also worked on developing and implementing a Produce Rx program at federal health care centers. Maha is pursuing her goal to attend medical school in the near future while continuing to foster her expertise in research and nutrition.
